An empty leg is a repositioning flight with no passengers on board — for example an aircraft flying home after a one-way charter. The same aircraft and crew are available at a materially lower price, but the route and date are fixed by the operator.
How much can I save on an empty leg?
Savings typically range from 25% to 75% of the equivalent on-demand charter price, depending on the aircraft and how close the flight is to departure.
Can I take my dog on an empty leg flight?
Many empty legs are pet-friendly. Use the pet filter to show only flights where the operator accepts animals in the cabin, subject to destination import rules.
Can empty legs be cancelled?
Yes. Empty legs depend on the original charter, so they can be changed or withdrawn at short notice. We always offer an alternative aircraft if that happens.
